Your historic downtown Bozeman home
Rouse House is the original historic residence and the estate house at Vintage Estate. Built in 1881 as the home of Daniel E. Rouse, it carries a direct connection to Bozeman’s beginnings. Dan & Jodi’s restoration took more than four years and included adding a full basement beneath the existing structure.
Three levels, one private residence
The main floor brings together a chef’s kitchen, dining room, entertainment area, half bath, and patio access. The second floor is devoted to the king bedroom and its lavish private full ensuite. The basement adds a living room and another half bath. The wine cellar is private and for viewing only.
Historic outside, contemporary within
Warm brickwork and historic architectural details frame a carefully restored home with contemporary interiors and modern comforts. The arrangement feels different from a conventional hotel room: a one-bedroom residence with distinct places to cook, dine, and relax. Laundry is included.
A stay for two, or part of a larger trip
When reserved individually, Rouse House accommodates two overnight guests. Dining seating does not increase occupancy or authorize a gathering. For a group of up to eight, reserve the entire estate, which adds V1 and V2 in Vintage House. Jen can help you compare the arrangements before booking.
Before you reserve
Outdoor spaces & parking
When Rouse House is reserved separately, your stay includes all gardens and patios surrounding Rouse House, along with its fireplace. The fire table and BBQ at Vintage House are allocated to Vintage House or V1 bookings.
Parking spaces are assigned to each reservation. Please use only the spaces assigned to your stay.
How many bathrooms does Rouse House have?
Rouse House has one full ensuite bathroom upstairs and two half bathrooms, one on the main floor and one in the basement.
Is Rouse House all on one level?
No. It is a three-level residence. The king bedroom and full ensuite are upstairs; living areas are on the main floor and in the basement.
Can two guests reserve Rouse House on its own?
Yes, subject to availability. An individual Rouse House booking includes Rouse House only, with a maximum of two overnight guests.
